There are so many horrible reports in the news today about scary cops, frightened children, and poor parenting.  This situation took place in a nearby community and the story just made my heart smile!  The circumstances couldn't have turned out any better . . .

An Unexpected Happy Ending

So often, we are unaware of the lingering problems that persist following a storm.  In the immediate aftermath, we see the devastation, but for those who aren't personally affected, current articles are read and prayers are offered.  The headlines move to a new crisis in a matter of days.  Meanwhile, displaced people, displaced pets, injuries that linger, and the struggle to rebuild lives take place quietly outside of the headlines.
